As Stu knows from our meeting on Thursday afternoon, I have spent most of the last week talking to the vested interests and usual suspects on both sides of this issue. That includes Charlie Reed, Jack Schuler, Al Wattay, the Town of HHI, the boys at Port Royal POA, Palmetto Hall, Perry White and his associates, Steve Baer, the two local Chambers of Commerce, the Lady's Island B&P Association, members of the local media, etc.
 
My advice to all has been the same -- take a deep breath and be quiet.

To my constituents, I have made it very clear -- if you want my time and  energy, lay off the e-mails to CC. No letters to the editor. Come to the meeting if you must, but don't say a word unless it is absolute necessary and unavoidable.
 
Or go ahead and turn this into another public spectacle and permanently damage  the chances that any progress will be made on any significant HHI Airport  issue. It's nice to have a choice. I hope everyone makes the right one.
