Fact: Successful businesses/operations need experienced and qualified management/guidance.

 We feel that the Hilton Head Airport needs to have leadership and advisory board members that have the experience and qualifications to operate the airport in a manner that will provide this community with viable commercial airline service.

County Council Chair Weston Newton and Councilman Rick Caparole think differently. These gentlemen are proposing a board consisting of 11 folks of which maybe 4 would have the experience and knowledge of the needs of a successful airport operation. This action would be another step towards the closing of our airport.

Proposal of these Councilmen say "We do not really care about the future of the Hilton Head Airport"

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport is a very successful operation and likely one of the top assets of the Savannah economy. What kind of leadership and governance folks do you think they have?  - Professional and certainly not folks that would like to close the airport.

If this community desires to have viable airline service, then the Hilton Head Island Airport needs professional leadership and experience guidance NOW!
An advisory board of 11 "concerned" citizens, of which several would like to close the airport is a sure recipe for the demise of the Hilton Head Island Airport.

Please contact our County Council members and express your concerns about need for a viable airport and the need for professional leadership.
